Metal mastodon installed at Rockglen’s Tourism Centre

A metal sculpture created by Melvin Monea was recently installed at the Information Station in Rockglen, Saskatchewan.  Made of recycled equipment parts, the piece is a life-sized replica of a mastodon found near Rockglen, whose jaw bone is currently housed in the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina.

Nicknamed Oliver, the sculpture stands at the intersection of Highways 2 and  18.
