Rockglen hosts two museums:
- Rockglen & District Tourism Centre is home to a local history museum and guided local tours.
- Effie Mattson Museum and Nature Park contains archeological and geological exhibit as well as a trailhead for a nature trail up and around Mt. Columbus. Stop by the tourism center to obtain access to the museum and directions to the trailhead.

Two additional museums and parks are located nearby Rockglen and are worth a visit:
- Wood Mountain Regional Park is home to the Rodeo Ranch Museum, Wood Mountain Post Historic Park, Sitting Bull monument and the Wood Mountain Stampede.
- Grasslands National Park (East Block) has geological and archeological exhibits at the visitors’ centre as well as breath-taking views of the Saskatchewan Badlands. There are hiking routes for all skill levels. The more difficult routes are not marked. Be sure to carry water and check with rangers to learn not only where to go to see the best views, but also where and how to avoid dangers like quicksand and rattle snakes.
